Vegas Has a Heart First Heart Screening Event powered by Who We Play For and Cardiac Insight, Official ECG Provider, Showcases the Impact of Early Detection.

Las Vegas, NV – Cardiac Insight, a leading provider of ECG devices, proudly acknowledges its pivotal role as the official ECG device provider for the recent heart screening event provided by Vegas Has a Heart, an initiative powered by Who We Play For, aimed at young athletes in Las Vegas. Spearheading the initiative, Cardiac Insight is thrilled to report on the event’s resounding success, which underscored the importance of proactive cardiac health management in the athletic community.

Hosted on 03/23/2024 at Democracy Prep at Andre Agassi Campus, the inaugural Vegas Has a Heart screening event witnessed the examination of 95 young athletes. Among the screenings conducted, two ECG irregularities were detected with one posing a potentially life-threatening risk. Dr. Ricardo Samson, Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology at Children’s Heart Center Nevada, validated these findings, emphasizing the event’s critical role in early detection and intervention.

Ms. Renee Kim, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Cardiac Insight, “This event was beyond successful, knowing that we were able to detect issues with a child who otherwise might have had a life-threatening situation.”

The guests at the event included Jett Washington, representing Gorman High School, Dr. Jessica Zardnt, team physician for the Las Vegas Raiders, Ron Futrell from Channel 8 Sports, Mr. A.J Palluck, Senior Director of Operations at Las Vegas Athletic Club, Mr. Vincent Versher, NFL Alumni Director of Memberships, and Mr. Ralph Maccarone, Chairman of Who We Play For.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents and participants alike underscores the event’s impact, with many people surprised by the seamless and efficiency of the screening process. Prompted by the event’s success, Cardiac Insight has initiated a rapidly growing waiting list, further underscoring the community’s demand for accessible cardiac health resources.

Operated as a non-profit organization under 501(c)(3) status, Who We Play For emphasizes its commitment to making cardiac health screenings accessible to Las Vegas students. As part of its mission, the company invites potential sponsors and donors to join in supporting this noble cause.
