It’s Time To Test Our Youth
Cardea 20/20 ECG™ helps physicians who are conducting well-child checkups or Pre-Participation Exams (PPE) to identify asymptomatic athletes and active youth with abnormal heart conditions who may be at risk for sudden cardiac arrest. Attuned for the athletic heart, it assists the physician in determining when further evaluation is recommended before youth age 14 and older participate in competitive sports activities.
Cardea 20/20 ECG augments existing sports physical protocol by allowing physicians to input responses to specific PPE questions developed by the American Heart Association that are required for school sports participation, as well as enter patient demographic information and previous symptoms of cardiac disease.
Making Cardea 20/20 ECG part of your practice enables physicians to offer patients more comprehensive care. Cardiac evaluations can be made right in your own office, eliminating the inconvenience and anxiety of premature referrals to specialists.
Cardea 20/20 ECG is easy to use, provides very high-quality 12-lead ECGs and is supported via the device’s breakthrough automated interpretation technology. The built-in algorithms, using the International Criteria for ECG interpretation in athletes, affects a ~2% false positive rate—the industry’s lowest compared to an historical false-positive rate of up to 30%. Cardea 20/20 ECG software supports your over-reading physicians in local or remote locations. All normal or abnormal tests can be reviewed with a click of a button. Confirmed ECGs are saved in a standard PDF format for easy uploading into your EMR system.
